Why Use Cable Clamps?

Cable Clip is used to ensure the retention and support of cables and conductors, and to reduce the mechanical load on the cables due to their own weight.

By firmly fixing, retaining and properly supporting the cables, the mechanical load applied to the cable terminals can be reduced, thereby protecting the cable terminals. CMP cable clamps are designed and tested to prevent damage to the cables in the event of a short circuit fault; once the fault is eliminated, the circuit can be restored.

The latest IEC61914 standard details the requirements and test contents of cable clamps and intermediate ties used to fix cables in electrical facilities. Cable clamps provide the necessary suppression of the electromechanical repulsion of cables and additionally implement the following safety measures:

Support cables and conductors
Reducing the mechanical load on the cables caused by their own weight
Reducing the mechanical load on the cable terminals
Reducing the mechanical load on the cables due to electrical faults
