PA12, also known as Nylon Cable Tie 12, is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic material with similar properties to Nylon 11. It can be extracted from both fossil fuels and renewable resources. PA12 is more expensive than other polyamides.

Features
Lowest water absorption among polyamides
High dimensional stability
High electrical properties
Excellent chemical resistance
Excellent cold shock resistance
High abrasion resistance
High aesthetics, can be made transparent
Disadvantages
Relatively high cost due to its specialized properties and manufacturing process
Lower stiffness and heat resistance, which may limit its use in certain applications that require high stiffness and heat tolerance
Weak UV resistance, so it is recommended to use UV stabilizers or use UV resistant grades of PA12
Applications: Especially used in applications requiring precision parts where safety, durability, long-term reliability and resistance to various conditions are very important. Examples include the automotive industry, aerospace and defense, medical devices, outdoor applications, electronics, oil and gas industry, and marine applications.
