Cable Clamp Galvanic Corrosion (bimetallic Corrosion)

Cable Clip Galvanic corrosion (bimetallic corrosion) refers to corrosion when different metals are in contact with electrolytes at the same time.
Different metals and alloys have different electrode potentials. When two or more metals are in contact with electrolytes, one metal becomes the anode and the other becomes the cathode. The electrolyte becomes the ion migration path between the two metals, and the electrode potential difference between different metals causes the anode metal to electrolyze into the electrolyte and concentrate on the cathode metal.
